How to Join

Joining Renshinkan is easy, just come along to any lesson where Sensei Lindsay will welcome you and give you all the details you require to get started. If you're unsure if karate is for you feel free to watch a lesson or two before you join in. To make it even easier why not bring a friend along with you.

All you need to start is to wear a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. Karate uniforms can be purchased once you get into your training along with any protective equipment you may require.

Minimum age to start training is 6 years old.

Tuition Fees

At Renshinkan we try to keep all costs down as much as possible. We do not not charge monthly. Students simply pay per session which means you will not be charged if you miss a lesson or are unwell.

Juniors £3.00 per lesson

Seniors £4.00 per lesson

Annual Membership & Licence

Within 4 weeks of starting you must apply for a licence to continue training in karate, you will send off a licence application form with two passport photographs and the fee of £25, and in return will receive a licence, which must be renewed annually, the cost of renewal is £20. This is insurance protection against any injuries that may occur whilst performing Karate. You will be given a Renshinkan Shukokai Karate-do record book with your first licence in which all your karate grades will be recorded.
